The Elmridge Protection EBP-900 iEvac Smoke/Fire Hood is an air purifying respiratory device to assist in breathing clean air for immediate evacuation in case of an emergency. It protects against Carbon Monoxide, smoke, hydrogen cyanide, chlorine, ammonia, sulfur dioxide, CS, CN, hydrogen sulfide, soot, fumes, aerosols, and more. It even contains a HEPA P100 filter that removes sub-micron particles such as anthrax, smallpox, and radioactive particles. It maintains this high level of protection by using a silicone neck dam to seal out the environmental contaminants, and at 9.5 in. (240mm) it can withstand up to 1700° F (527° C) in radiant heat. The U. S. Consumer Products Safety Commission states about escape masks “Emergency escape masks have the potential to reduce consumer-related deaths and injuries by assisting in egress from fires, provided they perform effectively and reliably.”
The iEvac Smoke/Fire Hood is first and only hood Certified to the American National Standard for Smoke Escape Devices, ANSI/ISEA 110-2009, for Respiratory Protective Smoke Escape Device (RPED). This certification is earned after extensive independent testing to prove compliance with every requirement in the Standard.
