Boost Your Dryer’s Energy Efficiency, Eliminate a Fire Hazard, and Gain Space

If you’re like most of us, you never give your dryer hose a second thought. Once it’s connected and the dryer pushed into place, that hose is out of sight and out of mind. Well, there are some good reasons not to get so complacent. Many times, the hose gets partially crushed when the dryer is pushed in, and now you have severely restricted the airflow through the hose. Your dryer runs longer, lint accumulates in the kinks, and the hose gets hotter, and can actually become a fire hazard. And for people who have space constraints in the laundry room, the fact that you need to leave room for the hose behind the dryer means it sticks out into the room an extra 6″ or so. The DryerBox solves all these problems in a very clever way. It’s a metal enclosure designed to fit into the cavity between studs and allow the hose to live in that space. Now the hose is protected from crushing, and the dryer can be pushed right to the wall. The box is powder-coated in white to provide a durable finish, and fits flush with the drywall surface. Also available to fit 2×4 walls.
