The Xantech ML85K LCD Proof Designer Micro Link IR Receiver Kit is a small peep-hole infrared repeater assembly. The Micro Link IR Receiver is equipped with a 7-foot cable and a 3.5mm stereo mini plug, which is plugged directly into the “IR RCVR” jack on the connecting block, such as the models 789-44, CB60, and 791-44. The Micro Link IR Receiver is primarily intended for use in installation where the connecting block is within reach of its 7-foot cable – as when installing the Micro Link IR Receiver in a cabinet where the controlled equipment is behind closed doors. The ML Series Kit comes with everything needed for a complete IR repeater system. With a Xantech IR Kit, equipment can now be concealed for clean room design. In addition, a centralized IR receiver means there is only one IR target resulting in improved remote control interaction. Featuring color-coded connectors, a Xantech IR Kit is now an easy to install, and allows a worry-free installation. This version of the Micro Link receiver is Plasma/LCD/LED/CFL proof, so you can install it anywhere in a room with a Plasma/LCD/LED display and/or CFL lighting; it is even resistant to sunlight.

  • Small size, mounts in 1/2″ diameter hole, 2 inches deep (50mm)
  • Quick-connect 3.5mm stereo mini plug on 7ft. cable for direct plug-in to Xantech connecting blocks
  • Works in normal 3-wire mode (12VDC), (IR, GND)
  • Green talkback LED for system verification

Use an existing infrared IR remote control to operate up to eight A/V components located behind closed doors

The Smarthome Plasma/LCD/LED/CFL Compatible Surface Mount IR Receiver Kit allows you to use an existing infrared (IR) remote control to operate up to eight audio/video (A/V) components located behind closed doors or walls in an entertainment cabinet or equipment closet. The built-in IR distribution technology gives you the ability to conceal, yet still control, bulky electronic equipment such as a cable or satellite TV receiver, stereo receiver or amplifier, CD player, DVD player, Blu-ray player, or virtually any component controlled by an IR signal. The kit uses an IR receiver to take in the IR signals from an existing remote control and distribute those signals via IR emitters to A/V components. No more leaving cabinet doors open or struggling to remotely access your hidden equipment, you’ll be able to control up to eight A/V components from up to 80 feet away.

As the name implies, the Smarthome Plasma/LCD/LED/CFL Compatible Surface Mount IR Receiver Kit works with plasma, LCD and LED TVs, and can also be used in rooms with CFL lighting, which may cause interference with similar products.

The multi-colored trim pieces, not only help blend the kit’s appearance into your home’s decor, but also assist in blocking noise that may interfere with your IR signals.

MP 7973 IR to RF to IR Wireless Infrared IR Remote Control Extender Kit

  • Converts an Infrared (IR) signal to Radio Frequency (RF) back to Infrared (IR)
  • Transmission range of 100 Meters (328 Feet)
  • Includes IR transmitter (emitter) cables with various lengths
  • Arc shaped design for wide IR receiving range
  • Low power consumption

You’ve got your stereo system speakers installed on your back porch so you can enjoy your music. Unfortunately you can’t change the volume without running back into the house and physically adjusting the volume control on your receiver, and you don’t want to install a wall-plate volume control. This IR to RF to IR Wireless Infrared IR Remote Control Extender Kit is the solution.

This wireless IR extender converts the IR signal into an RF signal at 433.92 MHz, for transmission to the receiver unit, up to 100 meters away, through walls, doors, ceilings, and floors, or whatever. At the receiving end, an IR cable with three bulbs (emitters) repeats the IR signal from your remote to up to three individual components, so you can use it up for your cable/satellite receiver, DVD/Blu-ray player, and an audio receiver.

Typical IR remote controls have a limited range and require line of sight with the component you are trying to control. With this IR to RF to IR Wireless Infrared IR Remote Control Extender Kit you can have your Audio Video (AV) components in another room, closet, equipment cabinet or entertainment center behind closed doors, and still have control.  Read More

Pass IR signals through doors/walls to control hidden AV components without line of sight

The Vanco 280732 CFL Resistant 1×2 IR Repeater Kit is a great way to control your home theater components that are located inside of a media cabinet or in an AV equipment closet. Most AV components are controlled via an infrared (IR) remote control that requires a line of site to work between the remote control and the component(s). So components located behind closed doors can’t be controlled unless the doors are open, which defeats the purpose. An IR repeater kit solves this problem. The mini surface-mount IR receiver is the only item that needs to be visible. It receives IR commands from your remote, passes it through the connecting block and distributes the signals out through the IR emitters. This system allows you to keep a cable or satellite TV receiver, stereo receiver or amplifier, CD player, DVD player, Blu-ray player, or virtually any component controlled by an IR signal behind closed doors so you can use your remote control like normal.
