Deck Light Auto-Illuminates at Night and Increases Brightness when Motion is Detected

The multi-talented Motion Sensing Deck Light from Xodus Innovations provides nighttime accent lighting with the ability to flood an area with light upon detecting motion. Like the Xodus Low Glow Deck Marker, this light uses a photocell sensor to automatically activate its low glow accent light at dusk and subsequently turn it off at dawn. However, it comes with the added feature of a 160° motion sensor that has a 30ft range. The motion sensor activates a bright LED upon detection to provide better lighting of the covered area. At the base of the Motion Sensing Deck Light are 2 switches to allow for customization depending upon the application of the light. The switches let you choose between high or low brightness and long or short duration. When long duration is set the bright LED will stay on for 5 minutes making it ideal for use where people may gather or hangout for an extended period of time, such as a porch. On short duration the bright LED will activate for 30 seconds making it more ideal on a walkway or stairs where people typically need additional lighting but do not linger. In both modes the sensor will check for motion before turning off to ensure people are not left in the dark. The light is powered by 3 C batteries which will last for an average of 1 year but that can vary depending upon settings and use. The light is weatherproof for outdoor use and it should be installed at a height tall enough to allow the LED to cover the amount of space desired. For instance, the closer it is to the ground the less surface area it will light up.
