Gas log fireplaces can cast a beautiful glow while keeping you warm. But sitting in front of the fire can often get too hot, and having to get up to turn off the flame just as you were about to drift off to sleep isn’t very relaxing. Now you can control your fireplace via remote, using the Fireplace Remote-On/Off/Timer-LCD Temp. This battery-operated RF transmitter will turn your fireplace on and off from up to 25 feet away, even if you have an electronic spark ignition. Read more

Would you drink water that has been sitting out for days? Don’t make your dog drink stale water! The Big Dog Pet Drinking Fountain uses a free-falling stream of water that aerates the water with oxygen, and since its charcoal filter also removes bad tastes and odors, your pet will have a more appealing way to stay hydrated.

Designed by a veterinarian, the Big Dog Pet Drinking Fountain holds over 2.25 gallons of water in its reservoir, but its high walls keep the water in the 50-ounce bowl. The spout keeps the water flowing, and since the stream of water breaks the surface of the water, it draws in oxygen to keep the water tasting fresher.
The flow control is adjustable, allowing for a gentle cascade, while a grate over the opening prevents kibble from blocking the water flow. The Pet Drinking Fountain is made of safe ABS plastic with convenient side carrying handles, and completely disassembles for regular cleaning. Rubber feet keep the drinking fountain from sliding around on tile or wood floors.
While circulation cools water naturally, feel free to add a few ice cubes to the bowl for refreshing, ice-cold running water. Filters should be changed approximately every six to eight weeks. Replacement filters come in a three-pack and are sold separately. Want a drinking fountain for a smaller dog or for your cat? The Pet Drinking Fountain is perfect for smaller animals. Read more

SUZANNE — PRINCETON, IN Date: 5/10/2009 |
| Review: I am very happy with this product. Our two dogs(boxer & pointer)love this. They used it immediately, and seem to drink more water than from a traditional bowl. Our boxer loves to drink out of a water hose, so she loves the fountain! I fill the canister with water from a Pur water pitcher. I have not had any problem with film on the water surface. The motor is quiet. The water fountain is equal to that of a “relaxing”, table-top, water fountain. |

GREG — AUSTIN, TX Date: 6/28/2008 |
| Review: I have been very pleased with the Big Dog Drinking Fountain. My only advice is that you should have a good spot in your house for this thing that is no more then 6 feet away from an electrical outlet. This thing is HUGE! (We call it “the monstrosity”). My dogs have been drinking so much more water since installing it, which makes me a very happy customer. I would highly recommend it. If your dogs drink a lot of water, this is the best solution to the problem that I have found. |

TOM — SAN BERNARDINO, CA Date: 1/4/2008 |
| Review: I highly recommended this watering system. I have 4 big dogs, 2 100 plus pounds that love to drink their fill during the day. There is enough storage that they don’t run out and the pump provides them with fresh water and some enjoyment too. they love to lap at the stream of water. |

Get your cords in check! Whether it is your mouse cable or your telephone line, the Cable Manager is a compact unit that winds up excess cable length so your workspace isn’t cluttered with stray cords. This kit includes four Cable Managers, so you’ll be able to clear up that desk area in no time at all.
The Cable Manager is easy to use. Align the top of the cord guide by rotating the top of the Cable Manager until the base and top form a slit through the middle of the Cable Manager. Insert the cord at its approximate midpoint into the guide. Turn the top of the Cable Manager until the excess cord is inside the unit. That’s it! To unwind, just pull both ends of the cable at the same time.
The Cable Manager is designed for use with electrical cords under the following conditions: <3 amps for 120V AC; <1.5 amps for 200V AC. The device is not recommended for use on electrical appliances such as toasters or hairdryers.
The Cable Manager is ideal for storing cords of larger widths, such as network cable. A set of four smaller Cable Managers is also available for thinner cords, like mouse or speaker cables. Read more

GLENN — LA CRESCENTA, CA Date: 4/24/2010 |
| Review: There are a lot of cable winders on the market but I like this one the best. It has little ratchet-like click stops inside so it won’t unwind unless you pull on the cord. |
|
JOLEEN — COTTONWOOD, CA Date: 1/15/2010 |
| Review: I have so many cables and cords from all my electronics that I needed a way to separate them. This cable manager is convenient and easy. It is large, for the larger cords such as power cords, not meant for earphone sized cords. Its bulky, but very easy to use and totally worth the price. |

BILL — DENVER, CO Date: 12/13/2009 |
| Review: Exactly as advertized. Handy device for winding up long microphone or network cables – easy to wind and unwind. |

| Review: Perfect absolutely works as I had expected. I had purchased this item from Radio Shack in the past. Radio Shack no longer stocks this item. Over the years I have probably purchased 10 to give as gifts. Radio Shack is no longer stocking this item I will not be doing business with them again. Their batteries for cordless phones do not last. They do not have the selection that Smarthome has. I will be doing my electronic shopping with Smarthome from now on. I AM VERY SINCERE about that. Why don’t you open a store in Houston? |

| Review: Really great! Took these to our house in the Cayman islands. I unpacked them and didn’t take the documentations. I was hunting around for the channel setting wheels, couldn’t find them (they don’t have any), and thought I’d bought the wrong product. I went to your website, downloaded the documentation, and found how cool these are — with the auto channel select feature. And, people can turn the lamp on and off with the regular switch if they don’t understand the X10 option. How great is THAT! You guys are wonderful! Thanks |

Dry air can be uncomfortable to breathe and dry out wooden furniture excessively. It also causes an increase in static levels which is especially bad if you like tinkering with electronic devices. Dry air can also cost you more in heating bills because it feels colder than humid air at the same temperature. When you add humidity to your home you can actually feel warmer at 68 degrees than you do at 75 degrees, saving as much as 15% in heating costs.
The ThermoMist is a low maintenance automatic whole-house humidifier suitable for traditional oil or gas fired forced air heating systems. It automatically detects when the heater is blowing and sprays a fine mist into the airflow, and it stops automatically when the airflow stops.
The ThermoMist Automatic Humidifier is easy to install: Simply mount the control box and nozzle to your ductwork and attach it to the water supply with the included saddle valve. Plug the AC adapter into a 110V outlet.
Replacement nozzles and filters are sold separately. Optional humidistat control can be added to shut off the humidifier when desired humidity is reached. You can also plug it into an INSTEON ApplianceLinc (sold separately) for integration into your home automation system.
This product is not recommended in areas where the water has a high mineral content. (Use FreshMist or Turbo Mist systems instead.) Read more
