- Everything you need to operate your Somfy controlled drapes from your INSTEON network
- I/O Linc triggers an RF signal from the Somfy Interface to open or close compatible window coverings
- INSTEON compatibility for outstanding performance
Do you want the convenience of being able to control your drapes and blinds? The I/O Linc – INSTEON to Somfy RF Drape Control Kit enhances your INSTEON network by allowing you to remotely operate drapes, blinds and other window coverings powered by Somfy RTS and/or Inteo motors and controls, sold separately. Using INSTEON automation, you can open and close your window coverings at the press of a button using a switch, keypad or remote control. With HouseLinc 2 – INSTEON Desktop Software, you can schedule the blinds to open or close according to sunrise, sunset or any other predetermined time you decide. You can even use an INSTEON-compatible thermostat to activate a scene when an upper temperature limit is reached that will turn on the air conditioner and close the blinds simultaneously to rapidly cool down your home. This kit is a convenient, easy to use solution ideal for anyone that wants to automate their Somfy RF window coverings using an INSTEON network. Blocking direct sunlight and maintaining an even temperature in their home is easy with INSTEON.
How It Works
The included Somfy dry contact interface wires directly to the included I/O Linc – INSTEON Low Voltage / Contact Closure Interface (using the included hook up wires), which simply plugs into an available outlet. When I/O Linc receives a signal from any linked INSTEON device, it will trigger a radio frequency (RF) signal to be sent by the Somfy interface to control compatible Somfy RTS or Inteo motors, opening or closing your window coverings.
This kit contains the pieces required to receive an INSTEON command a transmit a Somfy RF signal using a Somfy Dry Contact Interface. The interface will work with all Somfy RTS and/or Inteo motor and control systems.
Note: The Somfy 3V battery is not needed in this application since power is supplied by the I/O Linc.

This is a dream product. We have several large shades/drapes in our home covering french doors and to be able to push 1 button to open/close them is soooo convenient. One of the first INSTEON products I’ve purchased and I am now hooked. INSTEON makes your life easier!!
Is there a light that always seems to be on, even if everyone has left the room? Replace the light’s existing switch with this mechanical timer and you’ll be sure the light turns off when it is no longer needed. Conveniently program the light to turn off after 10, 20, 30, or 60 minutes. LEDs on the face of the switch remind you how long the timer was set for. Or manually override the timer to keep the light on for an extended period.
Most electrical devices still use a tiny amount of power in their off states which can add up on your energy bill over time. When this countdown timer turns its light off, it completely cuts power to the device so you won’t be paying for energy you aren’t utilizing. This timer is designed for indoor use only.
- Automatically turns wired-in lights off when the timer runs out
- Choose from 10, 20, 30, or 60 minutes
- Replaces standard wall switches
- Eliminates standby power
I/O Linc – INSTEON Garage Door Control & Status Kit
Price: Normally $79.99
Hot Deal $71.99
Enhance the versatility of your INSTEON network using I/O Linc – INSTEON Garage Door Control & Status Kit to let you know if you accidentally left the garage door open and remotely close it if necessary. This kit takes advantage of the bi-directional capability of I/O Linc – INSTEON Low Voltage / Contact Closure Interface ( 1 In / 1 Out ), allowing it to send a command that indicates the status of your garage door and to receive a command that operates the garage door. Using INSTEON automation, you can link a button on a KeypadLinc as a status light to indicate whether or not your garage door is open and remotely open or close the garage door from other areas of your property using that button or another button on the KeypadLinc, a SwitchLinc or a RemoteLinc. You can even check status and open or close your garage from anywhere in the world using a web-enabled phone or PDA using SmartLinc (IP camera required to check status).
You should only remotely close a garage door when you can be sure it is safe. Use of safety beam devices can further increase the safety of remote garage door control and are usually required by law. Smarthome is not responsible for any damage from proper or improper functioning of the device(s).
How It Works
The included garage door sensor mounts to the garage door and is wired directly to I/O Linc’s sensor input. When the garage door is open, the garage door sensor triggers I/O Linc to send a signal that will turn on an INSTEON controlled light and/or report its status, for example, to KeypadLinc status LED’s or PC software. Additionally, I/O Linc’s output relay wires to your garage door motor just like your existing button, allowing you to remotely operate your garage from any INSTEON controller.

Review: Works great. The sensor status updates as expected and the I/O Linc control the garage door opener perfectly. Installation was very easy, though buyers should be aware that mounting screws for the sensor and magnet are not included in the kit..

Review: Once I followed the instructions the garage control worked as described. Linked with a lamp module I can now see if the garage door is open without getting up and going outside.
