Each sensor is 1″ long and requires a 7/16″ wide hole to be drilled in the edge of a door or window jamb. The switch and magnet have ribs for securing in holes, allowing you to press fit them into place. There is an operational gap 3/4″. The wires are can be passed through the jamb and framing and run over to the alarm system controller. Both the switch and wire are completely invisible when the door or window is closed.
