- Works great!
By Autoberk – Aug 21, 2010 – Home DepotI control my world! I even schedule my pool pump w relay module. I can control from any where in the world. Thinking of doing my garage doors next. When will insteon be available in store?
- Controlling lights from my phone!

You’ve seen it, right? The iPhone commercial that shows a family waiting for their flight at the airport and then they remember that they forgot to lock the door or turn off a light.Well, that commercial advertises a company and service that requires a monthly fee of 13-15$ a month. The SmartLinc can do the same but with no monthly fee. Just get this connected to your home router, set your port for accessing outside of your home and add devices to things you want to control (lamps: LampLinc, wall switches: SwitchLinc). It uses a web application so you’re not locked into an Apple app. That means you can log into your home and control it while at a computer or mobile phone.Very simple device setup and well worth the price.

Review: This product has been working great for us. We have moved from the old UPB system that we were using to this exclusively.

Review: 10T is a bit slow to respond through 1M DSL. Unit works well, intermediate set up of rooms.

Review: Works fine but it would be great if it interfaced with a Smartlinc or something other than a browser.

Review: A good replacement for my old X10 controller. Making the move to Insteon. Using the phase couplers, I’m getting more reliable, quieter service from the controller, and like the real-time nature of the AJAX interface for quick changes; nicer than changing and downloading. So far, I really like it!

Review: The device works well. The software interface is cumbersome. Linking responders can only be done by pressing teh set button on the responders. Entering teh devices ID is not possible which seems to be an easy thing to incorporate in the software interface. Other than that the device works nicely.

Review: This does exactly what I want and was easy to set up. I was turning on and off my first lamp module with my PC and iPhone in less than 10 minutes. Simple interface with few bells and whistles, but that’s why I like it! Works well with Panasonic IP cameras too.

Review: Works great. The only drawback is the limitation of my router losing connection and constant changing of my public IP address.

Review: It works well. The web interface definitely leaves something to be desired, but it is a great way to Integrate Insteon with Internet/Home Network. I use it with MobiLinc for the iPhone, and it works great, both at home and from the road. If you are new to Insteon, make sure to take the different Power Phases into consideration.

Review: Great product. Turns on and off lights with built in timer. Built in timer does not keep the proper time. Needs to be updated weekly. Just access though your computer.
