Velleman’s HAA85BL Self-Contained Digital Access Control Keypad W/ Backlight is a great cost effective solution for commercial and residential applications. This unit is universal in that it is compatible with virtually any access control locking device. You can operate door strikes, magnetic locks, arm or disarm security systems, and automate lighting or appliances as just a few examples. The multi-user mode allows over 100 million possible combinations to be programmed for the keypad users. A non-volatile memory ensures that programming will not be lost during a power outage or if power is removed for any other reason. To avoid the risk of this unit losing power connect its power supply to a battery backup, which will keep the HAA85BL powered even if the house is not. The HAA85BL is intended for indoor use, the backlight function illuminates the keypad for 10 seconds with the press of any key making it easy to operate at night.
