Sense ‘On’ Status of an Audio / Video Component

July 18, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Product Title (In box)

Video ProbeLinc – Audio / Video Detector Probe allows you to monitor the ‘On’ status of audio video (A/V) equipment. Video ProbeLinc connects directly to the female RCA output jack of any video device such as a TV, cable or satellite receiver, VCR, CD player or DVD player; and has a high impedance level that will not affect picture or audio quality. Once connected, the device then senses the presence of a composite audio or video signal when it is active. The output connector is a 1/8″ mini plug, which works well with an I/O Linc – INSTEON Low Voltage / Contact Closure, sold separately. When used together, once and audio or video signal has been sensed, I/O Linc will receive notification from Video ProbeLinc and trigger an INSTEON device and/or scene to turn on or off.

Video ProbeLinc – Audio / Video Detector Probe and I/O Linc are also available as a kit.
