Sense Low Voltage Power Status of an Electronic Component or Relay

July 17, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Product Title (In box)

The Digital Low Voltage ProbeLinc – Low Voltage Power Detector Probe allows you to monitor the output of a low-voltage device. Simply wire the probe inline with any device that generates a 3V-24V (AC or DC) signal. Digital Low Voltage ProbeLinc can be used in conjunction with relay type devices such as keypad access control systems which allow access through a gate, door, or garage door. Once the relay is triggered (e.g a valid code has been entered into a keypad), Digital Low Voltage ProbeLinc will sense the power. The output connector is a 1/8″ mini plug, which works well with an I/O Linc – INSTEON Low Voltage / Contact Closure, sold separately. When used together, once power has been sensed, I/O Linc will receive notification from Digital Low Voltage ProbeLinc and trigger an INSTEON device and/or scene to turn on or off.

Digital Low Voltage ProbeLinc – Low Votlage Power Detector Probe and I/O Linc are also available as a kit.

Important Note: Do not attempt to connect the probe unless you understand all the technical and safety aspects of connecting directly to electronic circuits.
