Tip of the Day . . .
Just a reminder for those of you planning vacations, this is also the time of year when a lot of break-ins occur. If you are leaving your home for an extended period of time, be sure to alert your neighbors so they can get your mail/newspaper and watch for any strange activity. Having an alarm system certainly helps, however on the most basic level, plan to leave a radio on–preferably on a talk radio station. If robbers are scouting your neighborhood, one technique they do is to go door to door and knock on the door and listen to the home (and see if there are dogs). If it sounds like someone is already inside, they may just bypass your house altogether.
