The combination of baluns and inexpensive Cat. 5 cable allow for the distribution of audio, video and power over long distances. Two MuxLab Component Video/Analog Audio Square Baluns (each sold separately) can be used to connect a regular or HD video source with an analog audio output to your TV or monitor over long distances. Using a component video cable and analog audio cable, each sold separately, connect one balun to a source component (cable or satellite receiver, Blu-ray player, or DVD player) and connect a second balun to your receiver (TV, HDTV or monitor). Once that is complete you can run Cat. 5 cable between the two. For standard definition component (480i/p) you can run the video feed up to 1,000 feet; high definition components (720p and 1080i/p) up to 500 feet, and analog audio up to 3,250 feet. This small transformer converts audio and video signals from unbalanced to balanced and vice versa, making the necessary impedance adjustments for A/V signal transmission between different wiring systems. For a professional finish, you can snap this Balun into a MuxLab Wall Mount Fixture, sold separately.
