The ECKey is a Bluetooth based electronic relay unit that installs next to your electronic lock. Once installed, you simply register your phone with the ECkey just as you would a Bluetooth headset. Within minutes your phone will be registered and you will be able to establish a one to eight digit PIN code. By leaving your phone in Discovery mode, the ECKey will detect when you walk into range, which is adjustable from three feet to 30 feet. When the presence of your phone is detected, the ECKey will send a message requiring your PIN number for authentication and upon confirmation it will unlock the door, open the gate or disable your alarm. An unlimited number of Bluetooth-enabled devices can be registered, so it will work for the whole family. No software is required on the phone or PC.
